(( Please feel free to break any of these rules as desired, for they’re In Character rules. However, each action has a reaction. ))

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

 

DRESS CODE

A proper uniform for a male:

  • Black, gray, or dark gray trousers.
  • Tie and robe of the corresponding house.
  • Black, gray or dark gray sweater.
  • White shirt, dark socks and black or gray dress shoes.
  • House crest (optional).

A proper uniform for a female:

  • Black, gray, or dark gray knee-length skirts or trousers. Do not wear skirts that are too high above the knee (i.e., mid-thigh length).
  • Tie and robe of the corresponding house.
  • Black, gray or dark gray sweater.
  • White shirt, dark socks and black or gray dress shoes.
  • House crest (optional).
WHAT ISN’T ALLOWED:

(OOC Note: Please keep in mind that Hogwarts is a BOARDING school in Europe, not a Hot Topic store or brothel. Dress appropriately like you would at any private school with a proper dress code).

  • Studs (Metal or otherwise)
  • Blazers
  • Short skirts (anything above the knee)
  • Facial/naval piercings and gauges (the only acceptable piercings are on the ears, and even then, please keep those piercings to a minimum).
  • Tattoos must be covered at all times and must be relevant to your character’s history. Otherwise they are not allowed.

What REALLY isn’t allowed (applies OOCly as well, and may result in an instant-ban):

  • Genitalia, or suggestion(s) thereof
  • Elf Ears
  • Cat Ears/Eyes/Tails, horns/hooves, or anything remotely anthropomorphic. None of this should be reflected in your back story either.
  • Cigarettes
  • Alcohol
  • Anything related to pornography
HOUSE COLORS/MASCOTS (for uniform reference):

 

  • Gryffindor: Red and Gold (Mascot is a Lion)
  • Hufflepuff: Yellow and Black (Mascot is a Badger)
  • Ravenclaw: Blue and Bronze/Silver (Mascot is an Eagle)
  • Slytherin: Emerald and Silver (Mascot is a Serpent)

PETS

Only four pets are allowed in the castle ? Owls, cats, rats, pygmies, and toads. Students should only have one of these five animals. (OOC Note: Please remove any scripts in your pet. If they are heavily scripted, we will ask you to remove them. Blinking, tail-wagging, or any minimal scripting is fine as long as you do not exceed our script limit per avatar.)

USE OF MAGIC

The use of Magic inside the castle is encouraged within the safety of a classroom or if in presence of a faculty member.
However, faculty may reduce the use of magic while not being in the classrooms as their own expense.

SCHOOL GROUNDS

Students in their first and second year can only leave the castle with a Faculty member. Students in their third and above year may visit the Hogsmeade Village as they please. Holidays are exceptions were any student can visit any place they want.

FORBIDDEN FOREST

The forest must no be entered under any circumstance. They can only trespass when being escorted by a Faculty member.

LIBRARY

Silence or a low voice must be kept inside the library at all times. Pets are not allowed. The restricted section may only be entered with permission from the Faculty.

VANDALISM AND VIOLENCE

Vandalism of the school property and violence against another student or adult may result on severe punishment.
